Day 1
Ceyan said the food was disgusting. Request apple juice from stewardess. Going to downtown in munich on a sunday. Took a train from xiaogu apartment siemenswerke to marienplatz.
Day 2
Ceyan said he wants to go home to pass motion then come back to gu po house. Not realising that we need to take a plane back. Thats really funny. Going to prague by coach 4.5hrs. This place is kind of dirty and dusty. A tourist attraction hence alot of ppl around. Very crowded. Walked alot today. Went to downtown saw horse carriage and polar bear mascot which cost 2euro per pax. The apartment is not very nice. The toilets cannot make it. Only 1 shower area and 1 separate toilet bowl for 11 of us. And it is on level 4 with only stairs. It was really shag climbing up the stairs.
Day 3
Set off to prague castle by tram 22. Very crowded tram. We nearly got hit by the door. Had yummy lunch in the castle. Dont really know how to appreciate castle and church. The place is all about those. Walk alot again today. The way ceyan imitate us is so hilarious. He holds on to a selfie stick trying to take pic for us posing like a professional photographer. Making all the strangers around so amuse by his actions. Ceyan asked everyone to stand behind him so that he can protect everyone when he is using the cannon. After that we went to the charles bridge and took a river cruise for 50mins. The cruise was quite worthwhile. Ceyan enjoyed himself on the cruise. Seeing the nice scenery, gooses and ducks. Quite relaxing especially after a long day of walking. Move on to the dinner place to have chinese food.
Day 4
Unlucky day. Toilet stuck in the morning. Got cheated by money changer for 28% commission. Scary. Then we met with rain got to hide in a building with only a supermarket and no toilet. Shopped at c&a bought clothes for xb and xxb. Cheap nice comfortable clothing. Had burger king for lunch but not cheap. About $168 for 10pax. Ceyan was playing at the c&a children section when i hit the entrance of the toy tram that he was playing he sayang my head asking me not to do that again else the tram spoil he cant play. Chinese dinner at guilin restaurant. Saw rainbow along the way after the rain.
Day 5
Today is a super unlucky day. Worst day of my life. Beginning was alright. We checked out of the apartment at 9.30am hang around in the nearby shopping centre until 3pm. Take a tram to the bus terminal that is where all the unbelievable drama occur. When we want to board the coach back to Munich at 5pm, we were stopped saying they cant let us board because we dont have car seat with us. Problem is we came by the same way and was not told that he needs a car seat. This is ridiculous and the person did not consider that we have old and young. Insist that we find our own way back from prague to munich. After running ariund to find alternatives like car seats, other bus companies and train. None works for us. Luckily in the end we finally resort to uber and managed to get a nice driver. Although it cost 340euros at least we are home safely. The bus company really suck big time. Its called DB IC bus.
Day 6
Stayed home most of the day had lunch at xiaogu apartment then head off to ingolstadt village for branded stuffs but there is no sales. Came back empty handed. Late Dinner at Chinese restaurant.
Day 7
Breakfast at gep germaning and do some groceries shopping then head off to Switzerland. Finally we reached swiss holiday park apartment after 4hrs drive. Along the way scenery was nice. Ceyan slept for 2.5hrs in the car. He happily use my phone to take pictures of the snow mountains and animals that we see along the way. So cute. When we reach the resort, ceyan was very excited there are horses and swimming pool with slides. Quick dinner at the restaurant in the resort. The apartment is big and nice. But the wifi is quite weak. Cant seems to send photos out.
Day 8
Went around the resort and saw horses, cows, chickens, goats and rabbits. Head off to luzern town had an awful lunch at a coop restaurant which is charged by plate size. The food not nice and cold. But cos is sunday all the other restaurants are closed after 2pm. We were late. Went to the tourist must go place which is lion monument of lucerne. Basically that is a dying lion statue. Thereafter we walk on The Chapel Bridge (or Kapellbrücke). Along the way above the lake, we took pictures and spent some time observing the ducks and gooses swimming on the water. Ceyan was excited watching the ducks. When we asked him to swim with the ducks he said cannot cos his clothes will be wet. So i said is ok just take off the shirt then he say nvm no need no need. The fact is he is scared. when sitting at the steps near the water and duck moving towards him, he stepped back. Lol. Had dinner at a beautiful Chinese restaurant called Shanghai Chinese restaurant. They have a fusion of thai, viet and chinese food. Very nice decor.
Day 9
Lunch at a beautiful place but they dont have english menu so we all ate fish and chips. With the lake of lecerne view. Then we head off to the nature and animal park goldau (zoo). Only me hubby ceyan and sister in law went in the rest waited outside. They went supermarket. A good experience with deers and goats roaming around but unfortunately it suddenly rains that we have to rush out of the animal park. Didnt get to see the wolf and the bear. Only saw ducks swans birds goats deers boars and some farm animals. The calves drink milk directly from the cow and piglets too. Running after their mummies. So cute and heart warming. But it rains when we reach that area. Oh the goats are smaller than ceyan. The funniest part is when the deer walk towards ceyan he got frightened and cried hugging my thigh so tight and keep asking me to hold his hand. Because of the rain we head back to the resort to freshen up and rest a little. Dinner at the italian restaurant in the resort. Their pizza was big and nice.
Day 10
Checked out swiss holiday park apartment and ceyan get to play the kids gokart that cost 2swiss frank. Then went to trampoline park he dont dare to jump himself without holding. Er shen went in to jump with him. After that we went on to explore the kids play area. There is a slide, lego, rock climbing and rail tracks for the kids to play with. Head off to Milan, italy. Along the way we stopped by marche for lunch. But their marche do not have rosti. The road condition in Italy is so horrible. They dont have lane markings and illegal parking everywhere. Many cars around too. The people are more reckless and the whole surrounding is dirty and uncivilised. We checked in to the dreams apartment which looks decent but only have 1 toilet. Dinner at a chinese restaurant called 宇宙. The food was ok and service not bad. Took the bus to supermarket carefour nearer to our apartment to buy laundry detergent. And head back to the apartment. Super tiring and long day.
Day 11
Went to duomo today. This is the signature church of Milan. Alot of tourists and the church is very huge. Had lunch at an italian restaurant in that area. There are some black skinned guys trying to cheat money. Forcefully put on a bracelet for you then asked you to pay for it. Scary and i saw another guy helping people to take picture then ask for money too. This is quite a unsafe place. We paid to go up to the roof of the church vis fast track as the queue for normal ticket is very long and the weather is really hot. We climbed some narrow and spiral stairs at the roof for the scenery. All of a sudden i felt giddy got to sit and rest. Then we went down to the huge church. It took thousands of workers and 6 centuries to build that stunning church. Thereafter we head off for tea breaks. I took a short nap there relax for awhile before we took a tram around the city and reached a riverbank (abit like our clarke quay). The push cart selling cables, hats and sunglasses are all mend by indians. Had a good dinner at kawa restaurant which serves japanese food. And it is cheap with good service. All had a satisfied dinner that ends our day.
Day 12
Checked out of the Milan apartment heading to Florence, italy. Had breakfast at a nearby cafeteria and the hot chocolate drink is so thick like when i make lava cake that mixture. Thick n chocolatety. And the crossiant is nice too. With different fillings inside. Cheap 11 cups of drinks and 11 crossiants only cost 21euros. Reached florence italy the parking is very expensive and we got to walk a long way to the apartment flospirit since we parked at the so called cheapest parking called florence. Had japanese buffet dinner again near our apartment which is slightly more expensive. Service was good though. It rains suddenly but luckily we are just nearby.
Day 13
Lunch at a italian restaurant which is cheap and good located along the way to the doumo (big church). There are a few churches around and many small shops selling souvenirs. Many old ladies walking around to cheat money too. Begging for money. We also went to their flea market and wet market. Many black men asking for money too. Very unsafe here. There are many gelato shops and most of them are nice gelato. Ceyan has been eating so much pasta and gelato. We hid in a gelato shop due to the rain. We shop around the town and hid in shops whenever we feel rain until evening when we need to move on to find dinner place we have no choice but to buy and put on the raincoat. 5 raincoats for 10euros. Had yummy ramen at koto ramen along the way back to apartment. The boss is nice and the food was quite good too.
Day 14
Drove 2hrs+ to the pisa. See the leaning tower and took alot of pictures with the leaning tower. Challenge myself to climb up the pisa about 10-12 storey high and is slanted. rest twice on the way up to take a breather then continue. It was quite a gd experience. The view up there is stunning. The interior is made of marble so is cooling and slippery. at the very top has another narrow and spiral stairs thats a real challenge for people of bigger size and like me being pregnant. Coming down is more challenging i feel and we didnt stop. Walk around that area and there is a street that is like our pasamalam selling bags and souvenirs relating to pisa. Received the news of ceyan’s fish died. Kind of affected. The other fish are not eating well too. Hopefully it can wait till we go back. Had dinner back in apartment. Home cooked food only had dinner about 11pm.
Day 15
Heading off to Venice today. After another 250km, we finally reached Venice. Checked in to the apartment which is at storey two and no lift. Many branded shops around the area. We took the water bus. Interesting place with all surrounded by water. Travel either by waterboat or walking. But the waterboat tickets are expensive. 1 trip is 7.50euros and we bought the 3 days ticket for 40euros. Walk around the street after check out had italian food for dinner which is quite cheap. Back to the apartment.
Day 16
Had bread breakfast from downstairs our apartment. The apartment has a lot of mosquitoes and the water pressure is weak. Suddenly cold water suddenly hot water. Had a hard time showering. Continue shopping in that area. Had lunch at an italian restaurant that is bad. Gave us the wrong order which is more expensive and did not give ceyan his ice cream which is included in the kids meal. Not a honest place. Bad experience. Went into a shop which sells dresses and blouse for 8-10euros. Bought many clothings for my family. Had gelato again and the banana and dark choco taste great. Walked a long way to locate the waterboat. Heading to Murano island. Live demo of glass making at the murano glass workshop. It was really warm in there but really an eye opener. Each person is 1euro for a short 5mins demo. Moved on to Burano specialising in laces and handmade stuffs. Their houses are very colourful and nice. Nice restaurant with big lobster and half spaghetti and risotto. Took the water bus back for more than an hour cos it needs to turn one big round. The san marco church area was flooded when we were walking back to the apartment. Probably becos of the high tide. The mood was bad today. The cousin got scolded on the street for bringing us walk too much. Pity him.
Day 17
Got the news from my niece that the other fish of ours died. Was quite affected and depressed. God bless hope it means end of their sufferings. Had chinese lunch near to their apartment and the food was not so nice yet very expensive. Not worth the price. Today is all about shopping around the estate alot of walking too. Our first experience on gondola that ceyan has been requesting for. It cost 80euros for 1 gondola which can take max of 5 adult 1 kid. The whole journey take less than 25mins. It tour around venice that we cant see by walking. Quite a pleasant experience though it is quite expensive. Continue roaming that area. Went ahead for dinner at a nice restaurant “al gazzettino” which is very nice. Not very cheap but the food was really good. They even gave us free cakes and liquor shot glasses after the meal. When we sing birthday song for zhixiong they bring another cake to him and sing again for him. Before we leave, the boss gave us a bottle of red wine and a pack of pasta. Great hospitality. Unfortunately it rains, we got to wear the poncho and walk back to our apartment. Some areas at the san marco square flooded. We got to detour back. Hopefully the rain will stop soon and no more flooding. Checking out tomorrow and back to Munich.
Day 18
Today whole day is about driving. Drive all the way from Venice to Munich. 500+km from 1pm till 9.30pm.
