Our first self-drive trip to Australia, Brisbane.
Day 1: Singapore to Brisbane airport
We took the night flight and arrive AU in the morning of Day 2.
Day 2: Tangaloma dolphin resort
This is the first time we touched a dolphin (Tinkerbell). Very excited, their skin is so smooth and shiny, unlike what we have in Singapore.
Day 3: Tangaloma dolphin resort
We have several first experience in this honeymoon trip. First was the dolphin feeding, on the second day on the same island, we went up a helicopter for a short 6 mins. it was a really small helicopter but a great experience. It has always been one of my goals to get up a heli. And we did.
Later that day, we went for Marine cruising to kill time. I am not quite interested but because we don't have much to do and beibei seems interested so we spent to take on a boat ride out in the sea within the island. Saw the shipwreck and fed the fishes. unfortunately, we didn't get to see the turtles and stingrays which some other tourist did.
First time see doc while travelling, develop rashes on day 3 of trip. Today, we collected the rented car and go straight to Dream world. We didn't try any rides because i am pregnant, we mainly roam around the place and take pictures. Just as the dark clouds coming to our directions, we quickly make our way to the car, while setting up the GPS, downpour begins with ice droplets. i got so scared that the ice will smash our wind screen. This is again our first experience - exciting and terrifying. Most importantly, we are back at the hotel safely. Intend to do some shopping but there isn't much to buy.
Day 5: Bestbrook mountain resort
We drove approximately 2 hours to arrive at the mountain resort with nice greenery along the way, horses, cows and grass together with the blue sky. A warm welcome from the owner, the resort is considered a family business. Nice food and peaceful surroundings. We came close with the farm animals. We fed and carry them, milk the cows and collect warm eggs from the chickens. the next morning, we went on the wagon ride and tried stock whip and boomerang. Had lots of fun but those are not easy. Not easy to master. after learning for nearly an hour, i still didn't master it.
We drove for over 3 hours to arrive at Noosa resort. along the way, we stopped by the service centre for Krispy Kreme donuts and coffee. The resort has a big living hall, dining hall, laundry area, patio facing the river/stream, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathroom. Huge house with own garage as well. beibei was so excited with the garage and nice view at the patio. There isn't much to do, we went to the shopping mall to grab some groceries, it was not crowded and the worst thing is that all the shops close at 5+ before the night fall, we got to head back to the resort already. have an early night.
Day 7: Noosa resort
We drove far to grab some nuts and also went DFO to shop. Not as many shop as i expected. We didn't stayed long then head back to Noosa for our gigantic Seafood Platter dinner on the floating boat. The only regrets we have is that we went to 3-4 strawberry farms and none was open. our guess is that Jan/Feb is not the strawberry seasons. With that, marks the last night at Brisbane.
Day 8: Brisbane airport to Singapore
Surprised by SQ. Until now, I don't know how did they know is our honeymoon trip.
Throughout this trip, there are many things that I can't do/try which result in beibei didn't too. He mentioned "this is our honeymoon trip, we should be doing things together and not he do i see/video." We will try it another time. Forever together with love.
End of our honeymoon. Glad to have a relaxing and safe trip. A trip with just the two of us.
