Day 1: Singapore to Airport
Flight delayed for an hour, by the time we reach hotel already almost 5pm. The food is good on the plane. With buddy seated behind us, helped with handling my son on the plane was so much better. He only cried when his ear feels pain when we are landing in BKK. Other times, he is behaving well. Head down to Terminal 21 shopping mall nearby our hotel (Centre Point Sukhumvit 10 Hotel) to grab dinner at the food court which was said to have all the nice food. Shop around that area. They have different themed/country at different level (eg. London, Rome, Japan, etc). The supermarket has the nice pork floss cracker. The hotel is quite isolated but good thing is they have shuttle service to the main street to and fro.. Quite convenient too.
Day 2: Ekkamai Gateway + Asiatique Riverfront
Planned to go Grand Palace and Big Buddha but when we board the taxi, the uncle said that today they are only open for Thai to pray the King and we are in shorts, cannot enter. So we head back to the BTS station, took a train to Ekkamai. Brought forward our plan. Is my son's happy day. Molly Fantasy is the arcade in the shopping mall and Kizoona is the playland for kids. this is a big playground/ play area for kids/toddlers. My son had a great time there when we are leaving he cried to stay. Initially i was worried that it will be too crowded or dirty without maintenance. But to my surprise, the crowd only came in the late afternoon and the toys and playground are well maintained. they even have staffs entertaining the kids and play games with them. And they have different occupation for the kids to role play. Well spent time and money. Toddler below 105cm was $270THB and accompanying adult is $100THB for whole day access.
Went to Asiatique The Riverfront for dinner. We paid for the boat ride at Saphan Taksin BTS Station. And the shocking thing to happen is the float hung by the side of the boat suddenly drop and the water splash directly at us. The whole boat only the few of us got it. *Roll Eyes* and best part it my son is slping at that time. The small town there is quite happening with alot of small shops and eateries, Ferris wheel and street performers. Cannot remember the dinner place but the food was not bad. Long queue at the ferry departure. Everyone squeeze up the boat, i wasn't feeling well but got no choice. The road traffic there was really bad. Boat is the better option. We went for foot massage after that. The service was not so good but we couldn't find other family friendly parlor. And it is not easy to find baby in BKK.
Day 3 - Relax day
Went to Pratunam area. Head to Platinum Mall for food court breakfast then Big C Supermarket to buy all the snacks then go back to the hotel to unload and of course, let my precious boy nap. Surprisingly he napped for more than 2 hours. Woke up at only 5+pm. We quickly head out to the Train Market at Thailand Cultural Centre MRT station. The seafood was quite raw that we thought it wasn't cooked. The food were not fantastic and we didn't buy anything there too. Kind of crowded and hot there. And of course bringing a toddler to these places aren't easy regardless of carrying him or letting him walk around. We end our day with Korean Bingsu down the main street. 1 Melon Bingsu was $495THB (not especially cheap). Best part for my boy would be the bath tub - he enjoyed so much with the soapy bath tub. I foresee when he grows up, he will be the one asking whether the hotel got bath tub. Hee.
Day 4 - Hotel to Airport
We had hotel breakfast @ 350THB each. Unfortunately, Ceyan had diarrhea and didn't really have ample time to slowly take the breakfast. Normal taxi cannot take our two big luggage so got to use the hotel transport which cost us $800THB including Toll.
Return flight was on time but the aircraft is so warm, with my boy jumping and crawling around my body makes me really uncomfortable. The food not nice also. First time in my life, we encounter full flight custom check which took us awhile. But no matter what, home sweet home.
