Day 2
Hotel stay in Boffo L Hotel (5*). The breakfast was sumptuous.. But too rush to enjoy. As we are moving hotel again so have to pack n repack... Slept at 4am woke up 7.30am...
Went to see some statue, old city wall and streets that I can't even register the name of the place.. However, the street is quite interesting as it looks like those 古装剧 scenes. Some music performances by old people.. Had lunch at the dumpling place where the dumplings are free flow... I ate the most to keep myself full.. Food are generally salty.. Along the street to the lunch venue, sells alot of food that are almost the same. Looks like Taiwan night Markets..
We skipped 1 attraction because the kids are napping on the coach but the rest went.. After that we went on to 书院 for vegetarian dinner and stay for the night. The room was simple.. No water supply, need to use a basin to flush the toilet. Only hot water available for shower until the water supply comes through... The toilet smells..
Day 3
The bf at 书院 is mostly veg too. Similar to last night dinner with additional of fried rice and mantou.. When we head for bf, the sky was still dark and Ceyan say still night time why we wake Up.. Unfortunately, Caylen has frost bites on his body.
We climbed alot of stairs and up the mountain 塔云山 after bf... The temp is minus 2 degrees. Went up and down the steps to taoist temple.. There is a steep stairs that we went up to pray and donate.. It was really steep that some of them have to climb on all four to avoid falling.. Ceyan tried too but half way through he decided not to continue, which I think is brave enough cos it was really steep and the steps are narrow..
We were up there for almost 3hrs, ceyan did not ask to carry at all.. He walk himself all the way.. We also walked past a glass bridge which was very slippery cos of the small snow rain.. I was literally sliding on it.. It was a nice walk though.
Travel back to Xi An after lunch, went for a foot massage.. It was just rmb130 for an hr.. And all 5 ppl can be in the same room, best part is they have big screen for Ceyan to watch cartoon and food for Caylen to kill time.. He literally ate for an hour...
After dinner, went to street with pretty lights.. It was really crowded and cold.. Open area with stalls.. We only had 30mins to walk around so we just walk straight up less than 1/3 of the place and make a uturn..
Back to the Boffo L hotel for the night and kids had a short fun in Bath tub.
Day 4
As usual, a rush morning. First destination was 兵马俑. I was not familiar with the history and not so interested but the crafting and story was quite interesting after all. It was still very cold esp when the wind is strong. Spent more than 2hrs there..
Next destination is 华山. We climbed steps and stairs that are very steep and high. No resting place. Just keep going up. But the view up there was magnificent.. Air was good.. I wore 5 layers to fight the cold on the mountain, in the end I am unzipping on the way up the mountain.. Zw baby wear Caylen up and I carried bags. Ceyan decided to stay at the bottom with the aunts that gave up climbing which is good cos it will be quite dangerous if I have to hold Ceyan up.. Never regret going up though our legs are very very tired..
Checked in to a themed hotel called 华山客栈. It is like those 武侠片 themed.. They have costumes available for phototakng and a backyard garden looking like those movies..
Day 5
The bf cannot make it. We also took some pictures with the 侠客. Drive for almost 4hrs to 黄河壶口瀑布. It was quite nice but very cold. Another 3hrs on the bus to the hotel.
Staying in 窑洞. Is like mountain House. It is very nice on the outside but the room is not so fantastic. Quite simple looking. Today we had an road accident which looks like a staged accident. Our tour guide has been asked to pay rmb 1k.. Suddenly the bus jam Brake and many things fell.. Apparently it seems like a dog ran past the road then the bus e brake. We move on then two cars came shortly and stopped in front of us. And said we banged the dog and asked for compensation.. What a day...
Day 6
Head off to 毛泽东窑洞. As usual I don't have much interest at these history. The temp was - 2 degrees, super cold...
Next destination is the 波浪谷, we need to take a bumpy ride up the hill. Along the way there are corn fields, white goats and roosters.. The 沙岩 is very nice. I like that place.. Quite slippery when going up the slopes. the scenery is definitely worth the climb. Ceyan had a great time up there. Climbing up and down. The wind is super strong too.. I wrapped Ceyan with shawl to cover his neck and mouth, he asked me then how he talk? So funny.. Talkative boy.. Caylen was making a lot of noise until we covered his face with jacket.. A place highly recommended.
We end our day early checking in to hotel at 4pm to wash up and dinner..hopefully can have a better rest tonight.
Day 7
I m so shag. I feel like I nv slp at all.. The two ss bed both not near the wall.. And both kids wanna slp with me.. Caylen keep crying. In the end I have to slp with both on 1 ss bed den fearing caylen fall I have to sleep opposite n put 1 of my leg beside him. Just as I tod, he almost fell once I use my leg to catch him. This is so exhausting. The only good news is we are only going strawberry farm today and most of time will be on the bus back to Xi An and home sweet home tomorrow.
The only activity today was strawberry farm.. The 🍓 are very nice... Both my sons enjoyed plucking. Ceyan has experience already hence he can do it himself without any help.. Caylen first few pieces was squashed when he tried to pluck. After a few, he got the hang of it and enjoy doing it.. The funniest thing was that Ceyan secretly eating the berries while plucking. The in charge reminded him that cannot eat then he didn't. He then pluck away the leaves and pass the Berry to Caylen.. He said that didi is baby so can eat nvm.. That's a very sweet and heart warming move..
We are spending our last night in Buffo L hotel in Xi An.. Finally! This trip is really very tiring both for us and the kids.. Had international buffet in the hotel but the food is really not fantastic.
Day 8
Home sweet home.. We brought the kids to the next door shopping mall before checking out. They have a level for kids. Like an indoor playground and time zone combined. They also have tracks for kids to drive around also go kart.. It was really too bad that we don't have a full day there. Else they can have more fun. A full day pass is 228rmb. Their time zone games are very cheap at rmb2 and 3 depending on the machine..
We went to 小雁塔.. Is like a museum which I have totally no interest at all.. Follow by a big show called 驼铃传奇. The show Was amazing. The stage and audiences will rotate to change scenes. Is like a musical show.. And Caylen was really focus first half of the show.. After then he starts to walk around already.. Ceyan enjoyed it.. They even have 20 real camels and 30 wolves participating in the show.. It was spectacular..
Arrived at the airport early only to realised that our flight has been delayed by almost an hour. The saddest news of the day.. We were all so shagged but luckily, we still arrive on schedule. Both kids slept thought even before we board the plane so we have to carry them onboard.. Got to wake them up when we arrived..
